The Company

This is a great opportunity with a world-leading supplier in their field, privately owned, with operations in 20 countries. In the UK, they develop and manufacture bespoke products, with over 90% exported. They are offering an exciting Area Sales Manager position to join their dedicated UK external sales team. You will be responsible for account management and business growth, as well as achieving turnover and profit margin targets across the Northeast region.

Note: The ideal candidate must have proven sales experience within Instrumentation, Flow Control, Sensors, Valves, Pumps, Pneumatics, or similar.

Package and Benefits

  • £50,000 + bonus (OTE £62,000)

  • 37.5 hours, 8:30am – 5:15pm, early finish at 1:00pm on Fridays (flexible hours)

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven sales experience within Instrumentation, Flow Control, Valves, Pumps, Pneumatics, or similar
  • ONC in Electrical / Instrumentation (advantageous but not essential)
  • Degree in Engineering (advantageous)
  • Clean driving license
  • Strong field sales background with a proven track record
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Ability and willingness to follow management instructions and work collaboratively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage market share within designated geographic areas, industries, or accounts in the Northeast region
  • Develop and expand long-term relationships with nominated and global accounts
  • Focus on developing new business and building customer bases in the Northeast
  • Set and achieve annual and monthly sales objectives aligned with the company's strategic plan
  • Follow up on leads generated by marketing activities
  • Implement sales and marketing plans
  • Assist in reporting, forecasting, and managing sales within assigned industries and accounts
  • Provide industry and product reports as required by management
  • Stay informed of market trends, competitors, and customer strategies
  • Maintain accurate data in the company's CRM system
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Regional Sales Manager
