This Position reports to:
Strategic Marketing and Sales Manager

In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive service sales processes, generate service sales opportunities, and secure profitable sales within the designated areas. You will focus on Installed Base (IB) penetration and selling the entire Service product portfolio. Building long-term customer relationships and responding promptly to customer needs and issues are key responsibilities. This role contributes to the Motion Service Sales Division in the Southern Region. Main stakeholders include Direct End Users, Channel Partners, and Internal Channels, Motion Product Divisions.

This position is home-based, reporting to our Daresbury head office.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

  • Penetrate into IB, promoting upgrades, retrofits, and value-added solutions for customers and ABB.
  • Understand channel strategy, establish pricing, prepare sales plans, review them, and propose recovery plans if needed.
  • Generate service sales leads and develop new market opportunities by analyzing market trends and exploring new service portfolios.
  • Act as a marketer/salesperson during marketing activities such as campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, and customer meetings.
  • Support sales and customers in determining technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in preparing demanding offers.
  • Take ownership of specific customer cases to ensure efficient resolution of issues.
  • Undertake monthly forecasts, conduct regular status reviews, and propose recovery plans for potential order shortfalls.
Qualifications for the Role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and knowledge of motors, machines, and variable speed drives applications and services across various industrial markets.
  • Experience in motors, machines, and variable speed drives applications and service.
  • Passion for value-based selling and advising customers to make informed decisions about options.
