Job summary

Mitchell Maguire in Scotland and Northern Ireland is seeking an Area Sales Manager for Garage and Front Doors. You will build relationships with national and regional Merchants, developers and wholesalers, and grow a high quality door range.

You will manage orders from 1k to 60k, plan your diary, visit merchants, and work with internal teams to maximise sales. A proven field-based sales background in construction or building materials is required.

Qualifications

• Must have field-based sales within the construction industry.
• Track record of working for or selling to builders merchants.
• Experience developing long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Sell a comprehensive range of garage and front doors to national and regional merchants, independents, buying groups and wholesalers.
• Organise your diary and visits to develop merchant relationships.
• Liaise with internal support and marketing to maximise sales in your territory.

Remuneration: £48,700 + circa £9,000 bonus

The role of the Area Sales Manager Garage & Front Doors will involve:

Area Sales Manager position selling a comprehensive range of high quality manufactured range of garage and front doors for example: up & over doors, sliding doors, roller doors, front doors

All of your time will be spent selling into national merchants, regional merchants, independent merchants, buying groups, developers, specialist garage & door merchants and wholesalers such as: Elliots, Travis Perkins & Jewson

Dealing with order values ranging from around £1k - £60k

Organising your own diary and visits in order to develop relationships with merchants

Liaising with internal support staff and marketing team to maximise sales within your territory

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Garage & Front Doors with:

Must have field based sales within the construction industry

Will consider any building material / product background

Must have a track record of working for or selling to builders merchants

Would consider someone working in a merchant looking to step into field sales

Experience of developing long term relationships with clients

Track record of stability within your career
