About the Role

Our client, a rapidly growing manufacturing and distribution company, is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to join their team. In this remote-based role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing accounts while identifying and developing new business opportunities within the designated territory.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a background in kitchen, bathroom, or furniture distribution who can demonstrate a proven track record of sales growth. You will be expected to work independently, driving sales strategies and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Account Management: Maintain and grow revenue from existing clients through strategic planning, promotions, displays, and training.
  • New Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities with the support of the business development team.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring commercial, strategic, and sales goals are met.
  • Sales Strategy: Use data to drive decisions around product sales, cross-selling, and up-selling opportunities.
  • Budget Control: Manage and control expenditure, including displays, samples, marketing materials, and travel.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and stakeholders to enhance the customer experience and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Sales Targets: Meet or exceed financial and strategic targets for the assigned territory.
  • Reporting: Present results, strategies, and forecasts at regular sales meetings.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Experience: 5+ years in a B2B sales environment, ideally within the kitchen, bathroom, or furniture marketplace.
  • Account Management: Demonstrated experience in growing and managing accounts, generating new business, and key account management.
  • Sales Capability: Strong sales skills, with a proven ability to upsell and meet customer expectations.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with CRM systems.
  • Self-Starter: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Personal Qualities: Well-presented, reliable, and confident, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
