Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with a leading manufacturer to appoint an Area Sales Manager covering the North from Sheffield to Sunderland. You will promote and develop sales across merchants, garden centres and other retailers, with the support of a dedicated sales coordinator to focus on selling.

The role suits a hunter mentality with extensive territory travel and frequent Head Office visits.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of sales success in a similar territory.
• Self-motivated with strong diary management and time management.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Tenacious with drive to develop existing customers and win new business.
• Organised with good IT literacy.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence.
• Based within commuting distance of Sheffield for occasional office visits.
• Salary up to £40,000 per year, plus bonuses.

Job description

Are you a driven and passionate sales professional with a knack for building strong relationships? Elevation Recruitment are excited to be working with a leading manufacturer who are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to join their team, covering the North, from Sheffield up to Sunderland and everything in between.

As an Area Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in promoting and developing sales of products across a diverse range of retail sectors such as merchants, garden centres and other retail stores.

You will have support of your own sales coordinator assigned to work with you only so you can focus on the selling!

Role & Responsibilities:

• Driving profitable sales growth and increasing brand awareness.
• Building and maintaining relationships with independent convenience retailers, petrol forecourts, builders’ merchants & DIY centres, garden centres, wholesalers, coal merchants, and more.
• You will have a small account base, but there will be a strong emphasis on acquiring new accounts, so a hunter mentality is crucial to make this role a success!
• Manage your territory as if you're running your own business.
• Extensive travel throughout your territory with occasional visits to Head Office in Yorkshire.

Skills & Experience:

• A proven track record of sales success within a similar territory.
• You will be self-motivated and be used to managing your own diary, ensuring excellent time management skills
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent communication and influencing skills.
• A persistent and tenacious attitude with the drive to develop both existing customers and seek out new business opportunities.
• An organised and structured approach to work with good IT literacy.
• To be considered for this role, you must hold a full UK driving license.
• Based in commute distance to Sheffield where the head office is to be able to go into the office now and again.
• Competitive salary up to £40,000 per year, dependent on experience.
