Within our Domestic Sales team, we are recruiting for anArea Sales Managerto develop relationships with key merchants, domestic patio & driveway installers, and relevant house builders within the area. Would you like to be a part of this award-winning team?

As a key player in our team, you'll take full ownership of your sales and profitability budget, creating and executing your own business plan while collaborating with colleagues to identify new opportunities. Your relationship-building skills will be invaluable as you work alongside the commercial sales team and internal sales developers to secure new business and grow our presence.

With a sharp eye for market trends and competitor activity, you'll plan your week strategically, making the most of every opportunity. Working closely with your Divisional Trading Manager, you'll develop actionable strategies and take the lead in regular business reviews with key merchant branches in your area.

We're looking for someone who's not just here to maintain—but to innovate. You'll have the freedom to drive new initiatives, share leads, deliver training, and strengthen partnerships to boost direct-to-site sales. Your entrepreneurial mindset and proactive approach will be key to ensuring a full range of domestic products is stocked in yards, driving profitability for all.

What skills are required?
It would be great if you have experience in the construction industry however we are open to applicants from any sector. It is more important to us that you showcase your skillset as a sales professional - we can teach you the rest! The other skills we would like to see are:

  • Strong commercial experience across a wide number of stakeholders - preferably builders' merchants, domestic patio & driveway installers, and relevant house builders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven track record of growing business through relationships and good commercial processes
  • Creative thinker and have the ability to think from a solutions perspective
  • Can negotiate with customers using technical information and specifications as a commercial lever
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, capable of delivering a message with authority and confidence, to an individual or wider audience both internally and externally
  • An ability to grasp the technical aspects of a product to ensure we can sell on the strength of our products and services rather than price
  • Have a passion for providing excellent customer service
  • Have a keen eye for detail within both commercial processes and administration
