Wallace Hind Selection is seeking an Area Sales Manager to own the South West England & Wales territory for a leading international medical equipment manufacturer. You will nurture existing customers, open new opportunities, and drive growth across NHS and private hospitals with a broad portfolio of medical equipment.

BASIC SALARY:

£45,000 - £48,00

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Area Sales Manager, Territory Sales Manager, Medical Sales Representative - Medical Equipment

Reporting to the UK Managing Director, as our Area Sales Manager, you will take ownership of a territory with an established customer base and plenty of scope for further development. Historically a strong-performing region for the business, the territory has not had the attention it needs over the last 12-18 months, creating an excellent opportunity for a natural salesperson to build relationships, develop existing accounts and win new business.

You will inherit existing customers and active opportunities, including recently secured and developing NHS projects, while having the autonomy to identify and develop your own pipeline. Selling a broad portfolio of medical equipment, you will work with NHS and private hospitals across departments including A&E, Renal, Oncology, Day Surgery and Patient Handling.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop new business across the territory, working towards an initial annual sales target of approximately £200,000- £250,000
• Identify new customers, projects and opportunities across NHS and private healthcare.
• Develop the existing customer base alongside building a strong new-business pipeline.
• By delivering engaging product demonstrations and presentations you will build relationships with Procurement, EBME, Manual Handling, Estates & Facilities, nursing teams and clinical departments.
• Manage opportunities and negotiate contracts through complex, multi-stakeholder NHS procurement processes with varied sales cycles.

We are looking for a confident and proactive salesperson who enjoys developing business rather than simply maintaining existing accounts.

Experience selling medical devices or capital equipment into hospitals would be a distinct advantage, particularly within areas such as Renal, Day Surgery, Chemotherapy/Oncology, A&
