Job summary

GCS Associates is recruiting an Area Sales Manager to oversee the South East territory, including London and Home Counties, for construction pipework and press-fitting systems. The role focuses on expanding commercial pipeline within M&E and mechanical building-services sectors.

The successful candidate will manage relationships with contractors, distributors and merchants, drive demand, and secure project opportunities while meeting sales targets across the territory.

Qualifications

• Proven field sales experience within commercial plumbing, mechanical building services or industrial pipework.
• Experience selling to M&E contractors and installers.
• Knowledge of stainless steel systems and press-fit products is advantageous.
• Experience developing contractor demand and distribution channels.
• Track record of growing territories and achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop sales across the South East territory.
• Build relationships with M&E contractors, mechanical contractors and installers.
• Develop and strengthen merchant and distribution partnerships.
• Collaborate with merchant sales teams on joint visits to customers and contractors.
• Identify and develop commercial and industrial project opportunities.
• Generate demand for commercial pipework and press-fitting systems.
• Develop relationships with key decision-makers in the project supply chain.
• Manage projects from opportunity to quotation and order.
• Identify new customers and opportunities to increase market share.
• Deliver agreed sales, revenue and territory growth targets.
