Job summary

Water Lane Boathouse is seeking an experienced Area Relief Chef to cover kitchens across Yorkshire, Manchester and Liverpool. This hands-on role involves stepping in where needed, supporting Head Chefs and kitchen teams to maintain high standards and deliver great food.

You will travel between venues, adapt quickly to each kitchen, and ensure consistent quality and cleanliness during busy periods and holidays.

Job description

We're looking for an experienced Area Relief Chef to support our kitchens across Yorkshire, Manchester and Liverpool.

This is a hands-on role for a chef who enjoys getting stuck in, working with different teams and keeping things running smoothly. You'll step in where you're needed, supporting Head Chefs and kitchen teams to maintain standards and deliver great food, whether that's covering holidays, supporting busy services or helping out when a kitchen needs an extra pair of hands.

What you'll be doing:

• Providing hands-on kitchen cover across our venues.

• Supporting Head Chefs and kitchen teams during busy periods and staff absence.

• Helping keep food quality, cleanliness and kitchen standards on point.

• Leading by example and supporting the team wherever needed.

• Getting to know different venues and adapting quickly to each kitchen.

What we're looking for:

• An experienced chef who's confident working in a busy kitchen.

• Someone reliable, flexible and happy to work across different sites.

• A positive attitude and the ability to get stuck in with any team.

• A full UK driving licence and your own transport are essential, as you'll be travelling between venues.
