Maldon Salt Ltd in Essex is seeking an Area Leader to join the operations team. You will help manufacture salt by operating primary and secondary equipment, ensuring safety, quality and performance standards, and supporting a culture of continuous improvement.

As a lead, you will train the team, manage shift checks, oversee quality documentation and liaise with engineering support and line managers. The role requires hands-on manufacturing experience and commitment to Maldon values.

Formación

• Experience in manual manufacturing roles and safe work practices.
• Knowledge of MS Office, Sage X3 and Mango is desirable.
• Proactive with continuous improvement mindset.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and maintain equipment in primary and secondary areas to quality and efficiency standards.
• Complete shift/weekly checks of plant and equipment.
• Complete daily quality inspections of salt.
• Ensure product meets Maldon Salt standards and specifications.
• Maintain effective communication with team members/line management.
• Follow site escalation procedures for issues, non-compliance, and failures.
• Ensure all quality and traceability documentation is completed.
• Apply quality procedures to drive a quality-based culture in line with BRC requirements.
• Participate in problem-solving with engineering team and contractors.
• Lead training of team in processes, procedures, and standards.
• Utilise Sage X3 HHT scanning for stock receipt and identification.
