Job summary

Maldon Salt Ltd is seeking an operative to join the operations function, assisting in manufacturing, packaging and distribution of Maldon Salt products. You will operate packaging lines, support the packing room, and ensure quality and safety standards are met across primary and secondary areas.

The role demands practical FMCG experience, a basic education baseline, and a proactive, collaborative approach to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 GCSEs at grades 9-5 (A-C) or demonstrable ability to interpret technical information.
• HACCP/ISO/COSHH knowledge is desirable.
• Experience in high-speed FMCG manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain packaging equipment and line systems.
• Support the packing room with components for scheduled orders.
• Complete shift/weekly checks of plant and equipment.
• Ensure product quality and traceability documentation is completed.
• Maintain health, safety and hygiene standards on site.
• Support continuous improvement and problem-solving processes.
