Job summary

Country Court Care is seeking a Minibus Driver to safely transport residents between our homes in the Chippenham area. The role involves supporting residents, planning effective routes, and ensuring vehicles are well maintained.

The position requires a patient, friendly approach and a valid UK driving licence with D1; experience in care is welcomed. The role covers 32 hours per week over 4 days with a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence (D1) for 2+ years and be over 25.
• Friendly, caring attitude with dementia awareness.
• Experience in care industry preferred but not essential.
• Excellent customer service for residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Drive residents between homes and events.
• Maintain safety and comfort during journeys.
• Keep the minibus clean and report issues.
• Assist with rota planning and coverage across homes.

Area Minibus Driver Required - Covering our Homes in Selwood, Castle lodge, Westbury & Chippenham

Hours: 32 Hours per week over 4 days

ABOUT THE MINIBUS DRIVER ROLE

Our minibus drivers will have several local Homes to drive for, planning effectively with each Home to maximise its use in a fair and agreeable rota, helping our Residents move to and from their destination with ease. The vehicle will be based at one of the homes. You may also be needed to cover other days of the week on occasions.

• Provide excellent customer service to our residents.
• Make sure our residents are safe and comfortable on the journeys.
• Responsible for the upkeep & maintenance of the Minibus & reporting any issues
• Keep the minibus clean & tidy and to a high standard.

• Have a friendly & caring attitude

• Have an understanding of people with Dementia.
• Experience in the care industry is preferred but not essential
• For insurance reasons, our drivers must be over 25 years of age and have a FULL UK Driving License for 2 years or more and this must include category D1, with no serious driving convictions
