The Vacancy

Job Title: Mobile Maintenance Technician

Location: Manchester

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £28,540.46 per annum, including overtime, travel time, 33 days holiday, private pension & benefits such as private healthcare, life insurance, and employee discounts.

An exciting opportunity has emerged for an experienced Mobile Maintenance Technician to join our company, working with one of our major UK supermarket clients.

The role involves carrying out non-technical repairs and minor PPMs, as well as assisting in planned and reactive maintenance, including electrical and mechanical plant works at various sites within the designated region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist other City Technicians with maintenance work.
• Complete all necessary PPMs and reactive maintenance schedules within agreed timescales, ensuring all paperwork is accurately completed.
• Respond promptly to service call requests from the Helpdesk, assessing requirements and carrying out repairs as needed.
• Prioritize and complete minor maintenance and repair work within agreed timescales.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are available and in good condition for maintenance tasks.

Qualifications / Experience:

• City & Guilds / NVQ trade qualification (Carpentry / Plumbing / Roofing).
• Previous experience in building maintenance within a commercial/retail environment.

Desirable but not essential:

• Ability to maintain and repair a range of equipment.
• Quality, speed, and efficiency of repairs and maintenance.

The ideal candidate:

• Full driving license.
• Experience using a PDA system.
• Experience with PPM and reactive maintenance in a retail environment.
