Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Health & Safety team in our London North region as an Area Health & Safety, Facilities Manager. We are looking for someone who can analyse, influence and implement practical measures which protect the businesses.

We are looking for a subject matter expert in relevant H&S legislation, mandatory processes linked to (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 standards) and dealing with risks associated with facilities maintenance & services.

As the Health & Safety Facilities Manager, a key part of this role will be advising business stakeholders and their teams on the deployment of procedures and best practices to ensure total compliance with HSE legislation and all other aspects of HSEFQ as per the company risk register.

  • Support, advise & practically promote HSEFQ standards to all colleagues involved in the parcel journey & the interdependencies between Hub, Depot, Delivery & Head office.
  • Collect, analyse lead and lag risk data including periodic audits, reporting compliance performance and trending to key stakeholders.
  • Influence a programme of continuous improvement using data at UK, area & site levels.
  • Participate in mandatory visibility rhythms for all HSEFQ risks within your geographical area (daily, weekly, monthly risk forums), both remotely and physically.
  • Provide expertise in interpreting & applying HSE law in workplace scenarios.
  • Ensure an adequate number of trained persons for First Aid, Defibrillator, Fire Marshals, and Spill Control at each site.
  • Deliver & validate HSEFQ training, turning attendance into competence.
  • Accompany local enforcing authorities during pre-arranged visits to EVRi premises.
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years in an operational role with experience managing a region including HSEFQ responsibilities
  • Preferred or working towards NEBOSH Certificate
  • IWFM Level 3 or working towards
  • MH Train the Trainer and/or ISO Lead Auditor
  • Experience in the transport and logistics industry
  • Facilities management, project management, and financial management skills
