Important
All applicants must be able to obtain Security Clearance and have lived in the UK for at least 5 years. The role is office/hybrid based with occasional travel within the UK or abroad, with an expected 2-3 days onsite per week depending on project needs.

The Health & Safety function maintains and improves the Safety Management System, ensuring statutory and legislative compliance, delivering H&S training, and managing internal audits. The role involves leading large teams, implementing policies, and ensuring delivery within the area of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversight of Health, Safety, Environment, and Energy Management Systems
- Coaching site leadership to achieve certifications like ISO 14001, 45001, 50001
- Implementing and managing HSE programs including risk assessments, safety tours, incident investigations, audits, waste and emissions management, and regulatory compliance
- Setting and challenging HSE objectives and targets, analyzing KPI data
- Engaging and motivating site teams through HSE initiatives
- Ensuring statutory and legislative compliance and liaising with authorities
- Managing HSE training programs
Facilities Management:
- Managing facilities services across three UK sites
- Overseeing maintenance schedules and service providers
- Negotiating with landlords, authorities, and contractors
- Preparing facilities plans and budgets
- Monitoring facilities KPIs and performance
- Supporting site projects and capital expenditure
- Ensuring security and compliance requirements are met
- Managing emergency procedures and stakeholder requirements
Experience needed:
- Degree or equivalent in Physics, Engineering, Electronics, Hardware, Computer Science, Software, or Systems Engineering
- Proven HSE-FM experience in manufacturing
- Knowledge of legislation, compliance, and best practices in HSE
- Leadership skills for managing teams and contractors
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- IT skills (MS Office, MS Project, Visio)
- Ability to obtain UKSV security clearance
- Qualifications: FM Foundation Course, NEBOSH Certificates, NEBOSH Diploma, IEMA Certificate
Desirable experience:
- Experience in Defence, Aerospace, or safety-regulated environments
- Experience in Naval/Maritime domains
