Job summary

Rendall & Rittner in London-Hybrid is seeking an Area Director to lead a high-performing team of around 20 Property Team Managers, overseeing service delivery across a varied residential portfolio. You will manage stakeholder relationships with developers, RTMs and RMCs, while championing best-practice, compliance and continuous improvement.

You will shape performance by coaching teams, reporting to boards, and driving operational excellence across the area, ensuring residents and clients

Qualifications

• Leading multi-site or regional operations with Property Team Managers as direct reports in a service-focused environment.
• Working closely with developers, RTMs and RMCs, including board reporting, AGMs, and governance.
• Managing budgets, service charge frameworks, and supplier performance to deliver strong value and compliance.
• Implementing operational change, standardising processes, and embedding performance frameworks.
• Handling high-stakes client escalations and negotiations with a calm, solutions-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Leading, coaching and developing Property Team Managers through regular 1:1s, team meetings, and structured feedback.
• Building strong relationships with RTM and RMC boards, attending key meetings, and providing insightful, proactive guidance.
• Reviewing performance dashboards, budgets, and compliance reports, and taking timely action to address risks and gaps.
• Overseeing complex issues and escalations, collaborating with internal specialists to deliver swift, resident-focused resolutions.
• Driving process improvements and standardisation to enhance efficiency, quality, and consistency across the area.
• Partnering with internal teams (finance, H&S, procurement, systems) to support delivery and unlock better outcomes, reporting into your Divisional Director.
