Job summary

Aspens Services is seeking an ambitious Area Chef Manager to take full operational and financial responsibility for school catering facilities in your region. This role demands leadership to elevate dining, service quality, and profitability across sites.

You will drive GP management, lead kitchen teams, innovate menus, and ensure top standards of health and safety while working within a school-term schedule and a Monday-to-Friday pattern during term time.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Gross Profit management and the ability to hit sales targets.
• Craft skills using fresh ingredients and deliver exceptional quality food.
• Experience in line management with the ability to coach and inspire a team.
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety practices.
• UK driving licence held for site operations.

Responsibilities

• Financial control: manage and improve costs, stock, food and labour.
• Lead, coach, train and inspire kitchen teams to deliver excellence.
• Oversee menu development and drive sales with promotions and events.
• Ensure quality, systems and legislation are met via audits and proactive management.
