Job summary

Aspens Services, a market-leading school catering provider, is seeking an Area Chef Manager to take full operational and financial responsibility for multiple school facilities in the Dorset & Somerset region. The role requires a visionary leader to deliver top-quality food and service across the region.

You will drive GP management, lead kitchen teams, oversee menu development, and uphold rigorous quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Gross Profit (GP) management and ability to hit sales targets.
• Proven experience in line management with coaching and development.
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Craft skills with fresh ingredients to deliver quality food.

Responsibilities

• Financial Control: manage and improve controllable costs including stock, food and labour.
• Team Leadership: lead, coach, train and inspire your kitchen team to deliver excellence.
• Culinary Innovation: oversee menu development and drive monthly promotions and added-value events.
• Quality Assurance: ensure standards, systems and legislation are met through audits and proactive management.
