Job summary

Aspens Services is hiring an Area Catering Assistant to support school kitchens across the area in basic food preparation and first-class service during lunchtimes.

You’ll help with tills during service, deliver friendly customer service to students and staff, and assist with food prep while upholding strict health and safety standards. Training is provided where needed, and a UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• You’re a team player, thriving in a busy team.
• Experience in catering or fast-paced service is required.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices is expected.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 is great but training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation.

The role:

As a Area Catering Assistant, you will be a vital part of the team, supporting kitchens within your area in basic food preparation and delivering excellent service that makes the lunchtime rush run smoothly.

You’ll be making a real difference through responsibilities that include:

Customer Interaction:Working on the tills during service (don’t worry, full training is provided!).

Front-Line Service: Providing friendly, polite customer service to all students and staff.

Essential Support: Assisting the team with basic food preparation

Maintaining Standards: Ensuring a safe, clean kitchen environment and meeting Health and Safety compliance
