Job summary

Liverpool City Council is seeking an Area Team Leader Building Control to lead on-site supervision of major construction schemes across the city, managing a multidisciplinary team and deputising to the Head of Building Control. You will shape policy, drive safe, high-quality development, and support business growth through competitive fee proposals.

With the Tour de France Grand Départ 2027 and UEFA EURO 2028 on the horizon, you will play a key role in delivering a world-class built environment

Qualifications

• Leadership and strategic oversight of multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of building regulations and policy development.
• Experience in supervising major construction projects.
