Area Building Control Surveyor needed in Bromley, £280 per day PAYE – Reference: RQ1513920

We are seeking an Area Building Control Surveyor to join our team in Bromley on a full-time, temporary basis. The role offers a pay rate of £280 per day PAYE.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical expertise and oversight in the administration and enforcement of the Building Act, Building Regulations, London Building Acts, and related legislation to ensure high standards of construction, public health, and safety within the borough.
2. Manage all aspects of development within a designated geographical area, including plan checking, conducting site inspections, and enforcing Building Regulations.
3. Handle dangerous structures and demolitions, initiating emergency actions as necessary to ensure public safety.
4. Advise the public, elected members, and colleagues on matters related to building control policies, functions, and services.
5. Collaborate with other departments to meet divisional aims and targets.
6. Perform all responsibilities with a focus on customer service and continuous performance improvement.
