Job summary

Carriera Limited is recruiting an Architectural Technologist / Design Manager in Leeds. The role is hybrid, combining design coordination with client-facing duties across the pre-construction stages.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design information is coordinated, compliant and delivered on time, while supporting the Lead BR/PD and expanding your knowledge of Building Regulations and Building Safety.

Qualifications

• Strong technical understanding of building design and construction.
• Experience coordinating design information and multidisciplinary teams.
• Confidence chairing design meetings and managing actions.
• Understanding of building compliance and design risk.
• CDM 2015 knowledge would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Chair and facilitate design meetings with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and manage design actions.
• Manage Schedule 1 trackers and ensure outstanding actions are progressed.
• Review design information and identify potential compliance, coordination and buildability issues.
• Coordinate design information throughout the pre-construction process.
• Engage with clients and provide clear, practical advice.
• Support clients throughout the design and pre-construction stages.
• Identify and coordinate design risks and ensure appropriate actions are taken.
