Job summary

DLA Architecture Ltd in Leeds seeks a technically capable architect or technician with 2–5 years post-qualification experience to join its team. The role involves understanding planning processes and Building Regulations, producing and reviewing technical information, and working with clients and design teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Revit is required.

Candidates should be proactive, well organised, and able to manage workloads to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years post-qualification experience.
• Ideally with education sector experience, but not essential.
• Understanding of the Planning process and Building Regulations.
• Capable of independently producing and reviewing technical packages of information.
• Able to work under own initiative, establishing a proactive method of working.
• Good written, verbal and graphical communication skills.
• Good time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
• Resourcefulness and willingness to research and develop new ideas and solutions.
• Where appropriate assist with Client Liaison and attend design team meetings with other professionals.
• Develop a detailed knowledge and understanding of DLA Design’s procedures and standards including use of the DLA Business Management System.
• A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office package with knowledge of Revit drafting software.
