Job summary

Bloor Homes are seeking an Architectural Technician at our Head Office in Measham, Swadlincote. You will produce working drawings for bespoke house types and coordinate with regional offices and engineers to deliver accurate plans.

We look for experience in a design/technical department for a residential builder, with an HNC and proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel and Word. Hybrid working is available depending on role and benefits include generous holiday and pension.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Design and Technical Department in a residential background or new build house-builder.
• Minimum HNC in construction or related subject.
• Computer/IT literate with capability to use Excel, Word and database packages.
• Ability to use AutoCAD.
• 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including maths and English.

Responsibilities

• Producing working drawings for bespoke house types and adapting standard house type drawings.
• Liaising with regional offices regarding planning drawings and requests.
• Handling site queries as they arise.
• Liaising with structural engineers and third-party consultants on drawing matters.

What Will Your Day Look Like?

You Will Be

• Producing working drawings for bespoke house types and/or adapting standard house type working drawing in accordance with agreed planning drawings.
• Liaising with the regional offices regarding any queries relating to the planning drawings and working drawing requests.
• Handling site queries when they arise.
• Liaising with structural engineers and other third-party consultants relating to working drawing matters

What You'll Need To Succeed:

• Previous experience in a Design and Technical Department in a residential background or new build house-builder.
