Job summary

Bloor Homes is seeking an Architectural Technician to join our Head Office in Measham, Swadlincote. The role involves producing working drawings for bespoke house types and coordinating with planning teams and engineers to ensure accurate technical delivery.

Applicants should have experience in a Design and Technical Department within residential construction, a minimum HNC, and IT proficiency including AutoCAD, Excel and Word. Hybrid working is available depending on role.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Design and Technical Department in a residential background or new build house-builder.
• Minimum HNC in construction or related subject.
• Computer / IT literate with capability to use excel, Word and database packages.
• Ability to use AutoCAD.
• 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) grade 4 or above including maths and English.

Responsibilities

• Producing working drawings for bespoke house types and/or adapting standard house type working drawing in accordance with agreed planning drawings.
• Liaising with the regional offices regarding any queries relating to the planning drawings and working drawing requests.
• Handling site queries when they arise.
• Liaising with structural engineers and other third‑party consultants relating to working drawing matters

What You’ll Need To Succeed:
