Job summary

g2 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join our growing team in Sheffield. You will work on projects from concept through to completion, applying your technical expertise and strong communication with stakeholders.

The role requires a degree in Architectural Technology, 3 years’ UK practice experience, and advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, plus solid knowledge of UK Building Regulations and technical drawing.

Qualifications

• A degree in Architectural Technology or related discipline is required.
• 3 years' UK experience as an Architectural Technologist in architectural practices.
• Experience delivering projects from inception through to construction completion.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations.
• Excellent technical drawing and specification-writing skills.
• Strong planning, project management and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects from concept through to completion.
• Collaborate with design teams and stakeholders to coordinate on design and documentation.
• Produce technical drawings and project specifications to required standards.
• Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations across projects.
• Lead and mentor junior staff where applicable.

We are seeking an experienced and technically accomplished Architectural Technologist to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional with experience delivering projects from concept through to completion

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Degree qualified in Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
• 3 years' experience working as an Architectural Technologist within UK architectural practices.
• Proven experience delivering projects from inception through to construction completion.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations.
• Excellent technical drawing and specification-writing skills.
• Strong understanding of planning processes and project management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• BIM implementation and management experience.
• Experience working across residential, education, commercial, mixed-use, and public sector projects.
• Knowledge of SAP calculations and building performance assessment.
• Experience producing visualisations using software such as 3ds Max, SketchUp, or similar.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring junior staff.
