Conrad Consulting Ltd is seeking an Architect to join its Residential team in Colchester. You will take ownership of planning layouts and masterplans, collaborating with planning and technical specialists as schemes progress from feasibility to consent.

This role focuses on housing projects from small sites to major developments, with exposure to a diverse project list and opportunities to shape the design team as the company grows.

Formación

• ARB/RIBA qualified architect with solid residential & masterplan design background.
• Experience delivering work for housebuilder clients and understanding UK planning policy.
• Ability to balance creative ambition with commercial realities and policy compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Own planning layouts and masterplan proposals for residential clients.
• Work across RIBA stages 0–3 from concept to submission-ready packages.
• Collaborate with planning and technical teams to progress schemes from feasibility to consent.

A growing, commercially-minded design consultancy is on the hunt for an Architect to strengthen its Residential team in Colchester.

Join a business that’s scaling quickly, with planning and technical specialists working side-by-side on housing projects that range from small, characterful sites to major strategic developments spanning the country.

What You\'ll Be Doing

As an Architect, you\'ll take ownership of planning layouts and masterplan proposals for a client base that spans private developers through to well-renowned housebuilders. Your work will largely sit at RIBA stages 0-3, shaping schemes from initial concept through to a robust, submission-ready package. Expect close day-to-day involvement with colleagues across planning and technical disciplines as projects move from feasibility to consent.

What We\'re Looking For

• ARB/RIBA Qualfied Architect
• Solid track record designing residential & masterplan schemes
• Hands-on experience delivering work for housebuilder clients
• A confident grasp of planning policy across the UK
• A knack for balancing creative ambition with commercial reality and policy compliance
• Comfortable collaborating across teams and communicating design intent clearly
• Proficiency with AutoCAD & SketchUp
