Virtual Hire Staffing seeks an Architect to join its Sunderland studio, leading concept to handover on diverse commercial, residential and refurbishment projects.

You will work hands-on in a collaborative team, mentoring juniors and coordinating with engineers, contractors and clients. Part 3 ARB or strong Part 2 is required, with UK regs knowledge and Revit/AutoCAD proficiency.

Qualificações

• Part 3 ARB-registered architect or Part 2 with a clear route to qualification.
• Proven experience on design and build and/or fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK building regulations.
• Proficient in Revit and/or AutoCAD, plus the Adobe suite.
• Based in Sunderland area or willing to relocate.

Job Summary

Architect – Design & Build / Fit Out

Location: Sunderland (North East) | Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 depending on experience | Type: Permanent, full-time.

My client is an award-winning, multi-disciplinary practice with architecture, structural and civil engineering under one roof. They're known for bold, well-detailed design and a genuine concept-to-completion approach. They're looking for an Architect to join their Sunderland studio and work on a varied mix of commercial, residential and refurbishment projects.This is a hands‑on role in a collaborative team where your design input is valued and you'll see projects through from early concept to handover.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to projects from concept design through to technical design and construction stage.

About you

Essential

• Part 3 qualified Architect (ARB registered), or Part 2 with strong experience and a clear route to qualification also concidered.
• Proven experience on design and build and/or fit out projects.
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of UK building regulations.
• Proficient in Revit and/or AutoCAD, plus the Adobe suite.
• Confident communicating with clients, contractors and consultants.
• Based in, or willing to relocate to, the Sunderland area.

Desirable

• Experience across commercial, leisure, retail, education or residential sectors.
• Experience with refurbishment or heritage projects.
• RIBA membership.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows.
