We are currently seeking a talented Architect to join our client’s expanding team based in Tunbridge Wells. The architectural practice has an excellent reputation throughout Kent and surrounding counties and works on prestigious projects, including new build education, healthcare schemes, public space local authority projects, leisure and commercial schemes, and many more. The practice values a motivated, friendly, and fast‑paced environment.
As part of the architectural team, you will:
- Deliver projects across a range of RIBA work stages, from initial design development through to completion on site.
- Prepare accurate technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
- Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and wider project teams.
- Attend site visits, monitor progress, and assist in resolving technical and construction‑related issues.
- Contribute ideas that balance creative design with practical, buildable solutions.
- Support the delivery of projects within agreed programmes and budgets.
About You
We’re looking for someone who combines technical knowledge with a proactive attitude and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.
You’ll ideally have:
- ARB registration.
- Previous experience within a UK architectural practice.
- A sound understanding of UK Building Regulations, planning legislation, British Standards, and statutory requirements.
- Experience producing technical drawing packages and construction information.
- Strong working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with SketchUp, Photoshop, or similar visualisation software would be beneficial.
- Experience attending construction sites and supporting project delivery during the build phase.
- The confidence to communicate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and colleagues.
