Job summary

Arc Partnership, a joint venture between Nottinghamshire County Council and SCAPE, seeks an Architect to lead architectural and technical design and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team. You will deliver projects from inception to completion, review information from clients and third parties, and produce designs in 2D/3D using Revit, focusing on client briefs and sustainability.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Architecture/Architectural Technology.
  • Portfolio of significant experience as an Architect.
  • Post qualification CPD / RIBA core curriculum topics.
  • Technical design experience within a design team with clients and consultants.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, ability to manage own work.
  • Interpersonal skills for collaboration and diplomacy.
  • Knowledge of current technical design, construction, environmental issues, legislation.
  • Proficiency in Revit for 3D and 2D outputs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead in architectural and technical design, liaising with design team and clients, reviewing third-party information and integrating design data.
  • Deliver projects from inception to completion, identifying project and commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Set and control technical expectations within the multi-disciplinary team and ensure clear communication across teams.
  • Respond to client, contractor, and consultant queries; attend meetings and site visits as required.
  • Produce, coordinate and communicate designs in 2D/3D using Revit and visualisation/phot-editing software.
  • Lead the compilation of technical reports and essential bid documents.

Arc Partnership is a joint venture between Nottinghamshire County Council and SCAPE, formed in 2016 to support the council in creating an efficient, safe, and sustainable land and property portfolio.

We deliver multi-disciplinary services and consult, design, build, manage and maintain on behalf of the council and the communities and people it represents. We provide value for money, quality of output, and customer excellence to support regeneration and economic growth, for Nottinghamshire and beyond.

Your New Role

  • Lead in architectural and technical design, liaising with other members of the design team and clients, including the review of incoming third-party information and integration of design information, that protects the design and client’s brief.
  • Deliver projects from inception to completion, where necessary identifying project and / or commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Work as part of a technical team, setting and controlling technical expectations and facilitating clear and open lines of communication across the multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Lead and assist as appropriate, in responding to client, contractor, and consultant queries attending meetings and site visits as and when required.
  • Responsible for the production, co-ordination and effective communication of designs on a range of projects in 2D/3D using Autodesk Revit, appropriate visualisation and phot-editing software.
  • Lead the compilation of technical reports and essential documentation for bids and expressions of interest.
What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for people who want to drive change and make a significant difference by contributing to the aims of our diverse and inclusive organisation. In addition, you will ideally have:

  • Degree in Architecture/Architectural Technology.
  • A portfolio of significant experience working as an Architect.
  • Post qualification evidence of CPD / RIBA core curriculum topics.
  • Technical design experience working as part of a design team with a variety of clients, stakeholders and consultants.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to use own initiative to plan and manage and prioritise own work programme, projects and other resources.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to work effectively and collaborate with internal and external teams and an ability to exercise tact, diplomacy and reconcile differences.
  • Knowledge of current & emerging technical design, construction and environmental issues, legislative requirements and statutory responsibilities pertaining to the role.
  • Proficient in, and with demonstrable working knowledge of Revit for both 3D collaborative design and 2D production information output.
