Job summary

Maber Architects is seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join our Nottingham studio. You will lead the technical delivery of projects across RIBA Work Stages, coordinating high-quality information to translate design intent into buildable solutions.

You will work closely with architects, consultants and clients to resolve technical challenges, manage information, and contribute to the growth of the studio as projects progress.

Qualifications

  • Five years of industry experience as architectural technologist/architectural technician or technically biased architect.
  • Architectural Technology degree or UK-recognised equivalent.
  • Solid understanding of Building Regulations and current construction legislation.
  • Strong portfolio with diverse projects, preferably schools, industrial or residential.
  • Experience across all design phases from concept to construction including site oversight.
  • Client-facing experience and ability to manage own time/workload.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams across sectors.

  • Conduct site visits and represent the practice on site.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants and regulatory authorities.

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Architectural Technologist to join our Nottingham studio. This role will involve leading the technical delivery of projects across all RIBA Work Stages, producing and coordinating high-quality technical information, and ensuring design intent is translated into practical, compliant and buildable solutions.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project delivery, working closely with architects, consultants and clients to resolve technical challenges, coordinate project information and contribute to the continued success and growth of the studio as projects evolve.

Key responsibilities:

Leading multidisciplinary project teams across various sectors.

Review, produce, and coordinate high-quality technical design information across all RIBA Work Stages

Conduct site visits and act as a key representative of the practice.

Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities

Apply a practical, problem-solving approach to complex design challenges

Travel to project sites across the UK as required

Work both independently and collaboratively within a team

5 years of industry experience working as an architectural technologist, architectural technician or technically biased architect.

Architectural Technology degree or equivalent (UK recognised)

Sound understanding of Building Regulations and current construction legislation.

A strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects, preferably with schools, industrial or residential experience.

Experience in all phases of the design process, from conceptualisation to construction including site oversight.

Experience and confidence of operating within a client facing role.

Motivation to work as part of a team and to manage own time and workload

Excellent written and spoken English essential

Proficiency in relevant 3D BIM software such as Revit or ArchiCAD.

Project experience working on both new build and existing buildings

Project experience in the following sectors: Education, Industrial / Advanced Manufacturing, Residential, Facade Remediation.

ArchiCAD experience (however, training will be provided)
