Job summary

Manpower is seeking Arborist Climbers for permanent, full-time roles in Telford and surrounding areas. The position involves tree work including removals, crown work, deadwooding and planting, with a 37-hour week on a Mon–Fri schedule. Ideal candidates have proven arborist experience, strong safety focus, and relevant CS qualifications (training can be provided).

A full UK driving licence is preferred. The company offers training, PPE, pension, and growth opportunities within a leading grounds

Arborist - Climbers
Location: Telford and surrounding areas
Hourly Rate: £12.71 to £14 DOE and qualifications held
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Working Hours: 37 hours, Monday to Thursday - 8:00am to 4:00pm, Friday - 8:00am to 3:30pm

About the role

We provide a range of Arboricultural Operations including tree removals, crown thinning/reductions/lifting, deadwooding and tree planting, as well as ongoing tree maintenance. We are seeking multiple Arborist Climbers to join our team based in Telford.

Working closely with the arborist team, you will help drive operational excellence and uphold the company's reputation in forestry and arboriculture services.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Arborist/Tree Surgeon, with an eye for detail and passion for high quality tree care.
  • Excellent understanding of safety protocols, care & maintenance of all equipment, plus the ability to undertake operations safely and competently, with a can-do attitude.
  • Relevant Industry Qualifications (highly desirable, training can be provided for the right candidate):CS30 / NPTC 201 - Level 3 Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross-cuttingCS31 / NPTC 202 - Level 3 Felling Small TreesCS32 / NPTC 304 - Level 3 Felling and Processing Medium Trees (380-760mm)CS38 / NPTC 203 - Level 2 Tree Climbing and Aerial RescueCS39 / NPTC 204 - Level 2 Operate a Chain Saw from a Rope and HarnessCS40 / NPTC 302 - Level 3 Aerial Tree PruningCS41 / NPTC 303 - Level 3 Aerial Tree Rigging
  • Additional Tickets & qualifications/ certificates beneficial e.g. First Aid & Forestry, MEWP, Wood Chipper, IPAF etc.
  • Strong communication, organisational & problem-solving skills with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and staff at all levels.
  • Full, clean UK Driving Licence.
