Job summary

Avove is expanding operations with Scottish Power Energy Networks and seeks skilled Arborists for long-term work on a major energy infrastructure project. Join a professional team delivering vegetation management, aerial pruning, and safe equipment operations across critical network sites.

The role offers stability, progression, and opportunities to mentor apprentices while working at height with rope, harness, or MEWP on challenging projects.

Qualifications

• Mandatory Utility Arb NPTC qualifications 0039-20 to 23 for chainsaw and aerial work.
• Additional NPTC qualifications 0039-31 to 38 for aerial pruning and rigging.
• First aid training including forestry first aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage vegetation and perform tree works across the Scottish Power Energy network.
• Carry out aerial pruning, dismantling, and felling following safety standards.
• Operate chainsaws, woodchippers, MEWPs and related equipment.
• Maintain safety and quality on every site and support junior staff.
