Job summary

Dudley Council is seeking an experienced Arboriculture Manager to lead the team and drive the Borough's tree strategy. You will manage tree officers, develop working practices, and implement policies in line with current industry best practice.

The role requires an Arboriculture qualification (level 6 preferred; level 4 with substantial experience considered) and Lantra Tree Inspection certification is desirable. Workplace attendance is in-office 3+ days a week.

Qualifications

• Level 6 Arboriculture qualification preferred; Level 4 with significant knowledge and experience considered.
• Lantra Professional Tree Inspection Certificate desirable.
• Membership of a relevant professional body desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Arboriculture team and oversee strategic approach to trees in the Borough.
• Produce a new tree strategy for the Borough.
• Develop working practices and policies in line with industry best practice.
• Manage a team of tree officers and ensure effective service delivery.
