Job summary

Dudley Council invites applications for an experienced Arboriculture Manager to lead our team and shape the borough's tree strategy. The role focuses on producing a new strategy while directing a team of tree officers and refining policies and practices in line with industry standards.

The ideal candidate will have advanced arboriculture qualifications, a Lantra Tree Inspection Certificate, and active membership in a professional body.

Qualifications

• Level 6 arboriculture qualification preferred.
• Level 4 with significant knowledge and experience considered.
• Lantra Professional Tree Inspection Certificate desirable.
• Membership of a relevant professional body desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Arboriculture team and review the tree strategy for the Borough.
• Develop working practices and policies in line with industry best practice.
• Oversee production of a new tree strategy and manage tree officers.
• Ensure right to work in the UK documentation is verified and maintained.

Dudley Council are seeking an experienced Arboriculture Manager to lead our team and review our strategic approach to trees in the Borough . This is an opportunity to join our team at a crucial time. You will take the lead on the production of a new tree strategy for the Borough as well as managing a team of tree officers and developing working practices and policies in line with current industry best practice .

To achieve this, you will need to be an experienced Arboriculture professional, ideally, we are looking for a level six qualification however Level 4 applicants able to demonstrate significant knowledge and experience are also welcome to apply . Holding a Lantra Professional Tree Inspection Certificate and being a member of a relevant professional body are also highly desirable .
