Job summary

Dudley Council seeks an experienced Arboriculture Manager to lead the Arboricultural Team, shape the Council's tree strategy, and oversee woodland management across the borough. You will manage tree stock, balance public safety with environmental sustainability, develop policies, inspect and maintain, and oversee external contractors.

A Lantra Tree Inspection certificate and Level 4+ arboricultural qualification are required.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in tree management, arboricultural legislation and tree safety inspections.
• Strong procurement, contract management and service delivery knowledge.
• Ability to translate technical knowledge into practical arboricultural solutions.

Responsibilities

• Strategic and operational management of the Council's tree stock.
• Develop tree strategy, policies and woodland management plans.
• Establish inspection and maintenance programmes and oversee external contractors.
