Job summary

WSP is hiring an Arboricultural Consultant to deliver arboricultural services across a range of projects in the UK. You will conduct BS5837 surveys, tree condition assessments, and support desk-based studies while producing clear technical reports and joining multi-disciplinary teams.

The role requires Level 3 Arboriculture or higher, strong writing and organisational skills, and knowledge of BS5837:2012 and UK planning processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in arboricultural consultancy, local authority tree officer roles or similar environment.
• Strong written communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of BS5837:2012, tree protection principles and UK planning system.

Responsibilities

• Plan and undertake BS5837 surveys and tree condition assessments.
• Produce clear technical reports: Tree Survey Reports, AIA, AMS.
• Support NSIP projects with arboricultural inputs and construction-stage advice.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders; manage project information.
