Job summary

WSP is seeking a proactive Arboriculture/Ecology specialist to join its UK team. The role involves site surveys, impact assessments, and preparing technical reports to support planning applications.

You will collaborate with in-house GIS/CAD specialists and travel regularly across the UK to deliver high-quality arboricultural solutions. Ideal candidates will hold a Level 3 arboriculture qualification and a PTI certificate, with experience in arboriculture surveys and producing professional

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in arboriculture or a related field.
• Professional Tree Inspectors (PTI certificate).
• Experience in arboriculture surveys using digital data capture.
• Experience producing high quality arboriculture reports for planning.
• Ability to work with a pragmatic team of arboricultural, landscape and environmental professionals.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Principal and Senior Consultant.
• Site based surveys, assessments, measurements, inspections and monitoring in relation to BS5837:2012 and tree hazard assessments.
• Collation and interpretation of arboricultural information from desk studies.
• Prepare technical reports and feasibility studies, input into arboricultural impact assessments and arboricultural method statements.
• Liaise with design team developing mitigation solutions.
• Data analysis and project management.
• Support senior and junior team members; participate in NSIP / DCO projects.
