Job summary

WSP is seeking an Arboricultural Consultant to deliver arboricultural services across a broad range of UK projects. You’ll undertake surveys, write technical reports and support multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliant, high-quality delivery.

You will conduct BS5837 surveys and tree protection work, collaborate with GIS/CAD specialists, and help manage project information. Flexible, hybrid working arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in arboricultural consultancy or local authority arboriculture roles.
• Strong technical writing and ability to communicate to varied audiences.
• Good organisational and interpersonal skills; able to manage multiple projects.
• Commitment to health, safety and safe site-working practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and undertake BS5837 surveys and tree condition assessments.
• Produce clear, structured technical reports (surveys, AIA, AMS).
• Support NSIP inputs and provide construction-stage arboricultural advice.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Coordinate project information and identify delivery risks and opportunities.
• Contribute to a positive client experience through quality work.
