Job summary

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Joint Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Team Lead to join a local authority on a temporary basis. The role involves leading the AP/AR team during a Local Government Reorganisation, ensuring supervision and workload allocation.

The candidate should have senior AP/AR experience in local government, strong leadership, and excellent Excel and financial reporting skills to manage compliance and data governance.

Qualifications

• Proven senior-level AP/AR experience within public sector or local government.
• Demonstrable team leadership experience, supervising staff and KPIs.
• Strong analytical skills including financial reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the AP/AR team, oversee day-to-day operations and workload planning.
• Ensure financial accuracy and compliance, including month-end/year-end procedures and reconciliations.
• Drive service improvement, monitor targets and budgets, and improve processes and efficiency.
• Manage systems and stakeholder relationships, be the main contact for AP/AR queries.
