Job summary

Amazon Development Centre (London) Limited is seeking a Principal Security Engineer in Appstar to lead application security reviews across complex systems, identify critical risks, and mentor the security engineering team.

You will own enterprise-wide review methodology, drive security patterns, and push automation and AI-powered solutions to scale risk assessment and secure development across engineering groups in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in security engineering, with focus on application security or related domain.
• Experience with threat modelling, code review, and security testing.
• Proven track record driving security solutions at scale.
• Experience leading security initiatives across multiple teams.
• Ability to influence senior technical leaders and build trust with security organizations.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain application security review methodology across Amazon’s application landscape.
• Make security architecture decisions for high-risk designs and new technology adoption.
• Execute application security reviews and provide actionable risk mitigation guidance.
• Mentor security engineers and architects, lead architecture working groups, and create playbooks and frameworks.
• Drive automation and AI-powered security solutions to scale reviews and vulnerability management.
