A local government authority in Coventry seeks a highly motivated Mental Health Social Worker for its Community Mental Health Team. The role involves assessing and coordinating care for individuals with mental health concerns, emphasizing person-centered and strength-based approaches. Candidates must be registered Social Workers with excellent assessment skills and a passion for promoting independence. The team offers a supportive environment with training opportunities and career development. A flexible working arrangement is available, requiring office presence at least two days a week.

We are looking for a highly motivated professional to join our Community Mental Health Team based at Swanswell Point in Coventry. The team incorporates Community Mental Health Nurses, Approved Mental Health Professionals, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Support Workers, and Clerical Staff. The team supports people to co‑produce recovery plans to enable better lives and to stay as independent as possible. All supports are person‑centred, strength‑based and designed for people to have choice and control in their lives. As a Mental Health Social Worker, you will also be involved in assessing, coordinating, and arranging care for people living with mental health concerns, both in the community and in hospital. If you are an Approved Mental Health Professional, you will be required to undertake assessments under the Mental Health Act as part of the city‑wide AMHP rota. For all posts, we operate a flexible / hybrid working week and you will be office‑based at least 2 days a week.
