Job summary

Fortus Recruitment Group is recruiting an Approved Electrician on a permanent basis for our client, a leading building services and facilities management company. Salary is £45,000 with a company van and fuel card, covering East London and Essex.

Ideal background includes Level 3 Electrical Qualification and 18th Edition certification, with at least 3 years in electrical roles and 1+ year in social housing. ECS/CSCS cards and a full UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with a recognised Level 3 Electrical Qualification.
• Minimum 3 years' experience working as an Electrician.
• At least 1 year's experience within the social housing sector is essential.
• Holds current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
• ECS or CSCS card holder.
• Experienced in installation, testing, fault finding, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
• Ability to complete inspection and testing works (2391 Inspection & Testing qualification desirable).
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices.
• Comfortable working independently and managing workloads across multiple sites.
• Experience mentoring or supporting apprentices would be advantageous.
• Strong customer service and communication skills when working with residents, clients, and colleagues.
• Full clean UK driving licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, fault-find, maintain and repair electrical systems.
• Carry out inspection and testing works where required.
• Support residents and clients with electrical-related queries while on site.
