Job summary

Elite Hire is seeking a qualified Approved Electrician to install, test and certify electrical installations on commercial, industrial and residential projects in Greater London.

You will read drawings, supervise electricians and apprentices on site, fault-find lighting and power circuits, and work safely following site health and safety rules. A strong BS 7671 background and current AM2/18th Edition are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Installation and AM2.
• 18th Edition (BS 7671) and Inspection and Testing (2391 or equivalent).
• JIB Gold Card at Approved Electrician grade, or able to obtain it.
• Experience on commercial or industrial sites.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electrical systems to BS 7671.
• Carry out inspection, testing and certification of installations.
• Read and work from drawings and specifications.
• Supervise and support electricians and apprentices on site.
• Fault-find on lighting, power, distribution and control circuits.
