Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is recruiting an Approved Electrician to perform electrical installation, testing, and inspection in line with current regulations and building standards. The role emphasizes safe, compliant work practices within our facilities management operations.

Applicants should have post-apprenticeship experience in the construction industry with a valid UK driving licence; IPAF/PASMA are preferred. The company supports development and qualifications through funded programmes.

Qualifications

• Applicant must be an approved electrician in the construction industry
• Experience in electrical installation, testing and inspection
• Certifications including IP AF and PASMA preferred if available

Key Responsibilities

• To undertake all aspects of electrical installation, testing and inspection in accordance with current regulations and building standards.
• Working in a safe and efficient manner at all times, complying with current Health & Safety legislation and OCS H&S policy.

Key Hiring Criteria

• Applicant must have the right to work in the UK.
• Experience working as an Approved Electrician / Electrician within the Construction Industry post apprenticeship.
• Be familiar with all aspects of electrical installation, testing and inspection.
• IPAF & PASMA (preferred)
• Full clean driving licence

Essential Qualifications

• A craft qualification such as a recognised electrical apprenticeship such as or equivalent to City & Guilds 2350 NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation Engineering + AM2
• The current wiring regulations qualification such as or equal to City & Guilds 2381-18 Level 3 Award (18 th Edition)
• Valid and in date Grade card/CSCS Card or equivalent qualification.

Desirable Qualifications

• An Inspection & Testing qualification such as or equal to City & Guilds 2391-52 Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Instal lations
