Job summary

RNN Group in North Notts Campus, Worksop, is seeking an Apprenticeship Skills Tutor in Joinery to join our Work-Based Learning team. This permanent, full-time role delivers engaging joinery sessions, bridging the workshop and the site, and guides apprentices toward professional competence.

You will assess on-site progress, develop KSBs, and track learners via e-portfolios, collaborating with employers to ensure high standards.

Qualifications

• Industry experience in joinery or woodworking.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant wood trade.
• A1/V1 Assessor Award and Level 5 Teaching Qualification (or willingness to work toward them).
• Ability to build strong relationships with learners and partner organisations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver creative, engaging joinery sessions bridging workshop and site.

Location: North Notts Campus, Worksop (with offsite travel within North Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas)

Salary: £33,487 (unqualified teacher/assessor) to £38,487 (qualified teacher/assessor) a year with benefits

Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full Time (37 hours per week, all year round)

What You ll Bring to the Bench

We value your hands-on experience as much as your paperwork. We re looking for:

• Industry Roots: Solid experience in Joinery or Woodworking.
• Trade Credentials: An NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant wood trade.
• The Right Tools: An A1/V1 Assessor Award and a Level 5 Teaching Qualification (or the drive to work toward them with our support!).
• People Skills: The ability to build strong relationships with a diverse range of learners and partner organisations.
