The Apprenticeship Assessor supports apprentices from enrolment through to successful completion. The role conducts tripartite progress reviews, assesses evidence, provides constructive feedback and prepares apprentices for End-Point Assessment, while maintaining strong employer relationships and ensuring compliance with DWP and Ofsted requirements.
Working within the City St George's Apprenticeships Hub, the Apprenticeship Assessor plays a key role in supporting the quality, compliance and growth of apprenticeship provision across the University.
The postholder manages and monitors apprentice progress, conducts effective tripartite reviews with apprentices and employers, assesses submitted evidence and provides timely, developmental feedback. The role also supports apprentices in preparing for Gateway and End-Point Assessment and provides guidance on Functional Skills in English and mathematics where required.
The Apprenticeship Assessor maintains accurate and up-to-date records within the learning management system, completes monthly progress reports and ensures that all assessment and review activities meet relevant DWP funding, apprenticeship and Ofsted requirements.
The postholder builds strong professional relationships with apprentices, employers and university colleagues, contributes to apprentice inductions and represents the Apprenticeships Hub at relevant School and University events. Proven management skills, sound assessment judgement and strong experience of apprenticeship delivery are essential to the role.
