Job summary

DN Colleges Group is seeking an Apprenticeship Support Officer to join the Employer Relationships team in Scunthorpe, facilitating apprenticeship opportunities and guiding individuals through the recruitment journey. The role involves outreach to schools, employers, and community partners, plus travel to external locations and delivering application support sessions.

Essential criteria include a Level 3 qualification, customer-facing experience, and a driving license.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing environment and supporting individuals.
• Experience of matching skills and abilities to opportunities or vacancies.
• Experience of delivering employability support and presenting to groups.
• Full driving licence and access to transport.

Responsibilities

• Promote apprenticeship opportunities through engagement with schools, careers events, job centres and other community organisations.
• Support the sourcing of applicants for apprenticeship vacancies through effective marketing and outreach activities.
• Provide guidance and support to individuals throughout the apprenticeship application process.
• Deliver apprenticeship application support sessions, including CV support, application guidance and interview preparation.
• Pre-screen applicants and conduct suitability assessments before introducing candidates to employers.
• Deliver employability and work-readiness training in both group and one-to-one settings.
• Build and maintain talent pools for specific apprenticeship sectors and levels.
• Track applicant progress, provide feedback and help individuals improve future applications.
• Develop candidate profiles for use by employer-facing colleagues when promoting applicants to employers.
• Maintain accurate records using CRM and other college systems, ensuring enquiries are responded to promptly.
