Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is seeking a Specialist Apprenticeship Support Officer to provide specialist onboarding and learner support across the Workforce Skills and Employment curriculum. You will coordinate onboarding, monitor progress, and identify risks to retention and achievement, ensuring timely interventions and accurate reporting.

The role requires handling learner documentation, liaising with employers and tutors, and supporting compliance and GDPR processes.

Qualifications

• Level 2 English and mathematics, or equivalent, with confident digital skills.
• Experience checking, maintaining and quality assuring learner records and documentation.
• Experience with administrative and compliance processes in education, training, or apprenticeship provision.
• Ability to support application, onboarding or enrolment processes with documentary checks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate compliant onboarding and learner progress monitoring.
• Identify risks to retention and achievement and trigger appropriate interventions.
• Conduct scheduled progress reviews with apprentices and employers and record actions.
