Job summary

Glassmoon Services in Liskeard, UK, is seeking an HR apprentice who will work toward a Level 3 HR Support qualification. This full-time, hybrid role offers the chance to gain hands-on HR experience while studying and progressing within the organisation.

You will handle vacancies, offers, DBS checks, references, onboarding, and general HR admin, collaborating with the CIO and CoPL. The position includes a competitive salary and extensive development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Create and advertise our current vacancies using our Applicant Tracking System
• Send out offers of employment
• Request the required background checks, including an Enhanced DBS check with the adults’ and children’s barred lists
• Gather, check and verify employment references
• Keep an eye on workflows and organise your workload by priority
• Help new starters get set up on the required systems, working with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief of People and Learning (CoPL)
• Keep annual checks up to date, including annual wellbeing and DBS Update Service checks
• Check key documents, such as proof of address, a passport, a full or provisional driving licence, or a birth certificate
• Check any gaps in employment history
• Help with Learning & Development activities
• Provide admin support to our Service Manager
• Pitch in with other HR tasks when needed
